Nike / Spelman Air Max 95

Nike celebrates the deep heritage and long-standing history that makes Spelman College one of a kind. And we're doing so with the classic Air Max 95. Stacked layers of full-grain grain leather, synthetic leather and suede—all in Spelman colors—lead up to the Jaguar print, honoring the college's recently returned mascot. Pointed details complete the shoe with the college's logo and founding year on the tongue, and a reference to the Spelman Hymn, "Thy Name We Praise," printed on the upper. Founded in 1881 as the Atlanta Baptist Female Seminary, the school became known as Spelman College in 1924. To this day, Spelman welcomes young women to its Atlanta campus for excellent academic and leadership training.
